For my games, Blob World 1, 2 and 3, I created a peaceful world where the player can explore an immersive environment. The main character in this world is called “Blob Guy” and he is a starfish shaped character with no face nor apparent gender that I modeled in ZBrush. In this series of games, I created all aspects of the games including the coding, modeling, and textures. I wrote the code for the game controller that is connected to “Blob Guy”. Along with this, some of the textures that I used on the models in my world are from a series of my abstract photography. I created an open-ended environment that the player can get lost in and explore, creating a therapeutic game that promotes reduction in anxiety and ADHD symptoms. There is no winning or losing in my games, since they are all non-goal oriented, so the player is free to explore the world as they please. The art style is a low poly art style with minimal detail within the models. The music in the game that I composed and produced specifially for this game is in an ambient style in order to help the level feel more calming and immersive to the player.
The programs that I used for these games are Unity, Maya, ZBrush, MusicShake, Logic Pro X, and Photoshop.
